Welcome

The purpose of this site is to provide information to you - the interested community of Purcellville - about the Main Street and Maple Avenue Intersection Improvements project being implemented by the Town of Purcellville. Here you will find material about the project, its history, its current status, and the ways you can get involved. To understand why this project is needed, we have included some specific information about the need for the project and information about what studies and designs have previously been completed.

The purpose of the Main Street and Maple Avenue Intersection Improvements project is to improve vehicle capacity for the intersection, improve pedestrian and bicycle access, enhance aesthetics along Main Street - as a precedent for improving all of Main Street, improve access to adjacent businesses, and encourage economic development through enhanced multimodal transportation access. The improvements will include exclusive right-turn lanes, new signal timings, driveway consolidation, and sidewalks. The project limits are from 12th Street to 9th Street on Main Street and Stevens Drive to Dominion Terrace on Maple Avenue.

We will be conducting one public hearing to address the community after the 60% design phase. This meeting is intended to inform the community of the design process and inform the public on the project.
